I was a contributing writer for the lifestyle section of Manila Standard from 2007 to 2012. While I no longer write for the publication, I continue to have a working relationship with the editors. They support my clients and attend my events.
Last Thursday, our roles were reversed, they invited me. For a change, I wasn’t the one running around playing guest relations officer and pushing everyone to get more food or drink more wine. Enjoy pala maging bisita ha! Hehe. Thank you Gianna Maniego for the invitation!
At the Mermaid Pool Bar of I’M Hotel, Manila Standard launched its newly enhanced website. The 30-year-old publication introduced its revamped digital pages. “Part of our efforts to make sure that Manila Standard is in tune or in step with the times,” explained Manila Standard Publisher Rolando Estabillo.
Through a video message, Manila Standard Chairman Benjamin Philip Romualdez revealed their new face in the world wide web, manilastandard.net. “Digital collaboration is the operative word of manilastandard.net. We do not just deliver the news, we serve the news. And then our readers take over,” he said before enumerating the sections of the website.
